Nature Based (Outdoor) Therapy

Why outdoors instead of an office?

Through my own personal journey, my education and work in wilderness therapy, I have seen how incredibly healing it can be to return to our roots. Just the act of being out in nature has been researched and proven to provide us with many health benefits both mentally and physically such as reducing stress, anxiety, and boosting the immune system. When this is combined with therapeutic intervention, it can help re-set the nervous system, decrease difficult symptoms and create a present, grounded state of being.

What happens during an outdoor session?


This completely depends on your needs and goals. From the parking location, the forested private land I utilize for sessions is less than a 10 minute walk. When we arrive at the location, which is right alongside the beautiful Clark Fork river, the session will evolve and may include sitting in chairs along the river or wandering through the trees.
