About Mica

IMG-0954.jpg

My name is Mica and I am a licensed clinical professional with a diverse background of working both in an office and in the backcountry with adolescents and adults. I received my M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling with a concentration in Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University. I am licensed in both Montana and Idaho.

I offer nature based therapy sessions because through my years of training and working in wilderness therapy, I have been able to truly see and experience the benefits from this type of work.

I specialize in working with:

Anxiety

Depression

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Chronic Stress

Low Self-Esteem

Difficult Life Transitions

As well as those who want to gain more self-awareness and understanding

Everyone is different and has different goals for therapy. This is why I find a holistic approach works best. The therapies and techniques I have found to be the most beneficial are:

Parts Work

Somatic Techniques

Mindfulness

CBT

I also am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.) for trauma.

I am a certified Wilderness First Responder for medical emergencies.

When I am not working, I love spending time outdoors with my husband, son and two dogs.

What I Offer

Nature Based (Outdoor) Therapy

Why outdoors instead of an office? Through my own personal journey, my education and work in wilderness therapy, I have seen how incredibly healing it can be to return to our roots.

Clinical
Supervision

I know how helpful supervision has been for me through my career and I hope to provide the same for others.

Telehealth
Therapy

Telehealth therapy takes place online through a HIPAA compliant platform. Telehealth has become more popular over the last couple of years and allows for people to continue receiving care when they are not able to be in person.

Outdoor
Retreats

I offer outdoor retreats throughout the spring, summer and fall. These experiences are a wonderful way to build community while enhancing your relationship to self and the natural world.
